Recently, companies have apprehended the fact that customers want more than merely products or services and have proceeded in providing value creation through customer experiences. Experience marketing has emphasized the need to stimulate, entertain and affect consumers at an emotional level in order to create the premises for an experience in consumption. The repercussions for the experience marketing approach can range from brand advocacy, word-of-mouth, to loyalty and motivation to buy such an experience. Therefore, companies need to manage these experiences and pay attention to the moments of truth the customer has with the organization in question.
Relationships among Hedonic and Utilitarian Factors and Exogenous and Endogenous Influences of Consumer Behavior in Tourism

Customer experience is gaining more and more attention from researchers. Particularly in tourism, this experiences may be determined by hedonic or utilitarian factors. However, there are other influences, both exogenous and endogenous, that may impact consumer behaviors in tourism. Thus, in this article, we explore the receptivity of consumers in terms of certain types of influences, exogenous and endogenous, to hedonic and utilitarian factors related to a tourism package. To examine these research questions, we employ exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modelling on a sample of 150 tourists from Europe and North America.

The purpose of the paper is to understand and measure consumer's motives as part of the complex mental structure which has as result a certain buying behavior. To achieve this goal, the authors structured the paper in two parts: the first part contains a literature review regarding the concepts of motivation and motives, while the second part tries to measure and explain several dimensions of buying motives by using a statistical analysis tool - exploratory factor analysis.
